possible use xp drivers

Possible to use XP drivers?

Currently I'm using Vista B2 x64, and unfortunately I have a 7900 GTX, which means I'm stuck with the absolutely disgraceful NVIDIA 88.61 display drivers which basically can't run any games without artifacting to death nor can they perform more than about 20% of how well NVIDIA's regular XP drivers do.
So I'm wondering, is there any way to force an install of say, the 91.31 XP x64's? I tried using the setup app, which as expected just said that I'm using the wrong windows version, and doing a manual install via device manager just gave a generic "bad driver" error in device properties.
So does anyone know if installing XP-model drivers is actually possible in some obscure way? I've read that it can be done, even though it will disable Aero (which frankly, I'm willing to sacrifice for ability to test games). And if it can be done, then how?
Any help would be much appreciated. I've been trying to find a solution for 3 days, now, and I'm losing hope.
